This wasn't just a vacation; it was a Holy Spirit encounter that changed our family forever.
The miracle didn't happen overnight. It began four years ago with something deceptively simple: reading three chapters of the Bible daily with my husband Josh, who was agnostic at the time. That consistent practice slowly transformed his heart, leading to profound life changes—renouncing pornography, breaking passive habits, and growing bold in his faith. When God gave Josh a vision about becoming the man he needed to be for our unborn child, everything shifted. The date July 11th (7-11) became spiritually significant, marking both Josh's repentance from past sins and, years later, a prophetic prayer that unleashed the full power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
What's particularly beautiful is how God redeems our pain. On my mother's 55th birthday—exactly 20 years after her passing—we gathered to celebrate the Holy Spirit's work. This was also Tisha B'Av, a day of mourning in Jewish tradition, yet God transformed it into a day of rejoicing as we witnessed the rebuilding of His true temple—our bodies filled with His Spirit. Even opposition became a launching pad when another podcaster's criticism became the divine spark for this ministry.

Hi, friends, it's Maria with Spark, and today I want to share with you the most life-changing two weeks of my life and how. What God did for my family, I believe he wants to do for yours. This is more than a story. This is a testimony of revival, of salvation, of deliverance, of the Holy Spirit showing up in ways that only he can, and I believe, as you listen, that same spirit is going to stir something in your heart for your own family.
Speaker 1:Just two weeks ago, we had the privilege of going on a family cruise. There were 18 of us. Out of those 18, 10 got baptized, five for the first time and five as a rededication of their lives to Christ. We had two beautiful cabanas right over the water with slides going straight into that turquoise sea. Attendance brought us unlimited drinks and food, and the photographer captured every moment. They stayed for the baptisms too, because this wasn't just a family trip, this was a Holy Spirit appointment. At 10 30 am, we took family photos, then we walked down to the beachside. We all held hands in prayer, asking God to mark this day forever in heaven. Then it began Josh's mom stepped forward to be rebaptized, then our son Gideon, then our daughter Genesee, then Josh and I, then our friend's three children, and then our other family member and finally Josh's brother. I had shirts made that said Horwitz Family Revival 2025, with matching bracelets, stickers and magnets not just as a keepsake, but as a prophetic declaration.
Speaker 1:Revival starts with family. How it started for us. People sometimes ask me, maria, how do you start a revival in your family? For us, it began with something simple Josh and I started reading the Bible together, three chapters a day. At that time, josh was agnostic, but as the word began to wash over him, his heart softened. He renounced pornography. He broke passive habits. He turned away from things he had been watching and listening to. He confessed sins to others. He became bold for Christ. When I was pregnant with our son, god gave Josh a vision that he had to become the man God made him to be for his child. We didn't know the gender yet, but God knew.
Speaker 1:Four years ago, on July 11th 7-11, josh repented of past abortions with exes. That same day, we conceived Genesee. And this year, on 7-11, prophet Natalie prayed over us, releasing the full power of the Holy Spirit. We feel like a bamboo tree that's been growing underground for four years and suddenly shooting up 60 feet in a matter of weeks. In the past three weeks, our life has been on fire. For God. People are coming to Christ left and right.
Speaker 1:Just last Sunday, on my mom's 55th birthday exactly 20 years since she passed we gathered on a beautiful five-acre farm nearby. It was also Tish Shabbav, the day both Jewish temples were destroyed in history, a day of mourning for the Jewish people. And yet on this day, we celebrated the rebuilding of the true temple, our bodies filled with the Holy Spirit. We prayed prophetic prayers over each other, we anointed each other with oil and rejoiced. God is bringing transformation, revival and joy to every place where pain once lived, from attack to ministry. And how amazing is this?
Speaker 1:Just days before starting my podcast, I listened to someone else's podcast where they spoke against me publicly, saying that I was quote-unquote, playing Christian and not filled with the Holy Spirit. Instead of getting bitter, I got a word from God start speaking life over others. That was the spark for my public ministry. Friends, let the attacks push you deeper into your calling. God will use it to launch you. Let me pray for you, father. I thank you for every person listening right now.
Speaker 1:I declare in Jesus's name that revival starts with family and that they are the spark in their family. I break every generational curse of addiction, pride, unbelief, perversion, control and fear. I cancel the plans of the enemy over their bloodline. I silence the Jezebel spirit, the Ahab spirit, the mocking spirit, every unclean influence is cast out. In Jesus's name, I call forth the chosen ones in these families, the Josephs, esthers, gideons and Marys. I release boldness, purity and unshakable faith. Fill them to overflowing with the gifts of the Holy Spirit prophecy, healing, discernment, wisdom and miracles. Lord, give them the courage to lead Bible reading in their homes, to pray over their children, to speak blessings over their spouses, to invite your presence into every decision. We declare this family belongs to Jesus, this house belongs to the Lord.
Speaker 1:Revival starts here and it starts today In Jesus's mighty name. By the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. May our names be written in the book of life of the lamb Amen. If God can do this for my family, from agnosticism to baptism, from brokenness to revival, he can do it for yours. Don't wait for someone else to start it. Be the one Light the fire.
